Medicaid OHP Eligibility Information
![]()
The State of Oregon uses federal Medicaid dollars, along with state funds, to provide health insurance and assistance for a variety of groups of people. Some of those groups include low-income people who are:
- Over age 65, blind or disabled
- Children
- Parents or caretakers of children
- Pregnant Women
Eligibility requirements for the various Medicaid programs vary and there are some specific programs that serve categories of people in addition to those listed above. Therefore, everyone should be encouraged to apply for state Medicaid programs (such as the Oregon Health Plan).
