Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer at a Coalition Clinic

Many of our clinics are staffed by volunteer providers. Join with other medical professionals who have made a difference in their community, helping those families and individuals who cannot afford their own, or even their children’s medical care.

Community Health Internships

Earn academic credit with community health internships. The Coalition uses interns and volunteers on a regular basis. Currently we have Portland State University (PSU) undergraduate and graduate interns. They work in Access & Referral, Interpretive Services, Research, Grant Writing, and provide administrative support to the Executive Director. We couldn’t provide as much as we do without them!

We are currently accepting resumes for internships for four positions.

Project Access Multnomah County

Volunteer Specialists providing appointments at their clinics helps coalition patients get a level of care that coalition clinics are unable to provide. PAMC allows clinicians to provide a level of continuity in patient care, thus reducing the burden of disease in our communities. Specialty care is a scarce resource with high demand and little access for typical Coalition patients.

Create Healthy Communities

You can make a difference! Volunteers are a crucial component of service delivery in our clinics. Some Coalition clinics rely almost exclusively on volunteers to provide care, but almost all clinics use volunteers in different capacities. The links below will connect you with more details about volunteer opportunities through the Coalition.
